Sommerzeit ist Reisezeit oder so ähnlich, denkt sich scheinbar auch SPG, das Treueprogramm der Hotelkette Starwood und spendiert 3-fache Starpoints auf Übernachtungen in Sheraton Hotels, sowie doppelte Starpoints in allen übrigen Marken. Für Aufenthalte am Wochenende gibt es 1.000 Starpoints zusätzlich!

 

Die Aktion gilt für Aufenthalte zwischen dem 09. Mai und 31. Juli 2016, vorher muss man sich jedoch auf der SPG Trip Up Aktionsseite mit seiner SPG-Mitgliedsnummer und Emailadresse registieren. Als Bestätigung für die erfolgreiche Anmeldung, erhält man anschließend umgehend eine Bestätigung per Email. Für Übernachtungen in einem Hotel der Marke Sheraton gibt es im Aktionszeitraum 6, in allen anderen Hotels der Starwood-Kette 4 statt der üblichen 2 Starpoints pro Dollar Umsatz (plus ggf. Elite Bonus).

 

1000 Starpoints für Aufenthalte am Wochenende

 

Wer die Nächte von Freitag und Samstag in einem teilnehmen Starwood-Hotel verbringt, erhält zusätzlich 1.000 Starpoints geschenkt. Bedingung ist jedoch, dass der Aufenthalt mindestens zwei Nächte betragen muss, also z.B. von Donnerstag bis Samstag oder auch Samstag bis Montag. Zu beachten ist, dass in den Starwood-Hotels im Nahen Oste die Nächte von Donnerstag und Freitag als Wochenendnächte zählen.

 

Außerdem müssen die Buchungen immer über die Kanäle von Starwood direkt (Webseite/ App) vorgenommen werden, Reservierungen über Drittanbieter wie Expedia, Opodo etc. bringen keine Punkte für das SPG-Programm! Zudem sollte man checken, ob das gewählte Hotel an der Aktion teilnimmt: Liste der teilnehmenden Hotels.

Registration: SPG® Members must register online at spg.com/tripleup by 11:59 p.m. Eastern Time (ET) on July 17, 2016. Registered Members can earn bonus Starpoints® between May 9 and July 31, 2016 (the “Promotion Period”). There are three ways to earn: (1) earn double Starpoints for each eligible stay of two or more nights at any participating Starwood hotel or resort, (2) earn triple Starpoints for each eligible stay of two or more nights at any participating Sheraton® hotel or resort, and (3) earn an extra 1,000 bonus Starpoints for eligible stays that include a Friday or Saturday night (Thursday or Friday night in the Middle East) at any participating Starwood hotel or resort. A list of hotels and resorts participating in SPG Triple up can be found at spg.com/tripleup and is subject to change. 

Earning: Registered Members will earn double Starpoints on eligible stays of two or more nights between May 9 and July 31, 2016, at any participating Starwood hotel or resort. Members who earn double Starpoints will earn an additional two (2) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent [for a total of four (4) Starpoints per dollar spent]. Additionally, registered Members will earn triple Starpoints on eligible stays of two or more nights between May 9 and July 31, 2016, at any participating Sheraton Starwood hotel or resort. Members who earn triple Starpoints will earn an additional four (4) Starpoints per eligible US$1 spent [for a total of six (6) Starpoints per dollar spent]. Elite-level extra Starpoints earnings and other bonuses will not be doubled or tripled. Only the base two-Starpoints-per-dollar earnings are doubled or tripled. There is no limit on the number of double or triple bonus Starpoints that can be earned during the Promotion Period. A member whose eligible stay includes either a Friday or Saturday night (Thursday or Friday night in the Middle East) will earn an extra 1,000 bonus Starpoints. These offers operate concurrently with other Starpoints promotions; however, each offer will award bonus Starpoints independently of each other. 

Bonusing: Double, triple and bonus Starpoints will post to the registered Member’s account within 2–4 weeks after the qualifying stay posts. 

Eligible stays and nights: An eligible stay is defined as two or more consecutive nights paying an eligible rate in the same hotel, regardless of the number of check-ins or checkouts that occur, and posting to the Member’s Starwood Preferred Guest® account. An eligible night is defined as at least one night paying an eligible rate in the Promotion Period. An eligible rate is any rate that is eligible to earn Starpoints in the Starwood Preferred Guest program. A listing of SPG-participating hotels and resorts and a description of eligible stays and eligible rates can be found at spg.com under the program terms and conditions. Note that certain prepaid room reservations — such as when the booking is made through a third party, including but not limited to travelocity.com, expedia.com, orbitz.com and delta.com — are not considered eligible rates and do not earn Starpoints or qualify for promotional earnings. Unter´m Strich

Gerade zwischen Mai und Ende Juli sind auch viele Privatreisende unterwegs, daher kann es sich durchaus lohnen, mal zu schauen, ob an der Wunschdestination auch ein Hotel von Starwood verfügbar ist. Wer hier ein paar Nächte bei Starwood verbringt und 3-fache Starpointe mitnimmt, kann schnell ein paar tausend Starpoints zusammenbekommen, schon ab 2.000 Starpoints kann man diese dann für kostenlose Übernachtungen einlösen. Auch sonst bietet SPG-Programm viele Vorteile, bereits als Basis-Mitglied erhält man kostenfreies Internet, bereits nach 10 Aufenthalten kann man Gold und 25 Aufenthalten sogar den Platinum-Status erhalten.
